How to Adjust an Airwalk Skateboard

Adjust your Airwalk skateboard's trucks for optimal performance while riding and performing tricks. Skateboard trucks come equipped with kingpins, which can be either tightened or loosened with a skateboard tool. When the kingpin is loosened, the trucks will have less resistance, making turns less difficult. When tightened, the added resistance makes turns harder to accomplish. Finding the right adjustment for your trucks provides less difficulty in your ride and while you perform your tricks. You can adjust your Airwalk skateboard's trucks in less than five minutes.

Lay your skateboard upside down on a flat surface. A flat surface is needed to access the trucks and each of their components.

    • 2

Place the skate tool over the first truck's kingpin nut, then turn it to the left to loosen it. Repeat for the second truck as well. Turn the kingpin nuts the same number of times for the same setting between the two of them.

    • 3

Place the skate tool over top of the first truck's kingpin nut and turn the tool to the right to tighten it. Repeat for the second truck as well.

    • 4

Place the skateboard on the ground and stand on it. Rock back and forth to see that you have either tightened or loosened the trucks to your desired setting. Repeat the entire process until you have adjusted the Airwalk skateboard to fit your particular skating style.
