How to Make a Skate Box Cheaply

If you visit your local skateboard shop or online skateboarding resources, you'll be able to purchase skateboard boxes or plans to make them yourself. Unfortunately, some of these ready-made boxes or the materials to build the box can cost at least $60 (as of August 2011). Although these boxes and plans will provide you with hours of fun, you can make a skate box yourself that is just as enjoyable at a fraction of the cost.

  • Pallet
  • Tape measure
