Instructions

    • 1

Learn to ollie with consistency and at least the height of a curb.

    • 2

As you crouch to jump, wind up your torso in the opposite direction, with your forward hand crossing in front of your body toward your back foot. It is much easier to ollie 180 frontside (that is, turning your front foot backwards as you turn).

    • 3

As you begin to ollie, unwind and spin your torso 180 degrees to face in the opposite direction.

    • 4

Use your front foot as it drags up the board to turn the board 180 degrees, following the motion of your torso, so that you end up rolling backwards. Your whole body should follow and be carried along with your torso.

    • 5

Land facing the opposite direction and rolling backwards. Your weight should remain centered at all times. Bending your knees is crucial to keeping your balance and absorbing the shock of landing.
