Miami Snowmobile Trail

Located in Elkhart County, the Miami Snowmobile Trail is about 58 miles long and runs from Millersburg in the south to Vistula in northeast Indiana. It has been managed by the Elkhart County Snowmobile Club since 1975. No ATVs are allowed, and the trail is open to snowmobilers only when there has been adequate snowfall and the trail is covered, according to the club. Routes run alongside small lakes and rivers, through pine forests and up hills that provide scenic views of the surrounding terrain.
Buffalo Run Snowmobile Trail

Buffalo Run consists of 70 miles of trails west of South Bend in St. Joseph County. The trails were developed by the Michiana Trail Riders Coalition, which continues to manage and maintain them. According to the coalition, the trail system connects with a 25-mile Michigan snowmobile trail system that extends to New Buffalo, Mich. Highways 80 and 23 and over a dozen roads cross the trail.
Potawami Snomobile Trail

The Potawatomi Snowmobile Trail is located in Steuben County; it's about 15 miles long. The Potawatomi Snowmobile Club, which developed and maintains the trail, advises snowmobilers not to stray from the marked trail as the route passes alongside private lands.
Heritage Snowmobile Trail

Located in southeastern Allen County, the Heritage Snowmobile Trail runs for about 34 miles around Hoagland and Maples. Developed and maintained by the Hoagland Blizzard Blazers Snowmobile Club, the trail can be accessed from a trailhead and parking area in Monroeville,
Salamonie Snowmobile Trail

The Salamonie trail is managed and maintained by the Salamonie Trailmasters Snowmobile Club. According to the American Council for Snowmobile Associations, it is about 40 miles long and is located on the south side of the Salamonie Reservoir in Huntington and Wabash counties. The proximity to the water adds to the scenery of the route and provides riders with a sense of direction as the trail meanders.
