Instructions

    • 1

Find a slope that is steep enough to slide down. A slope you can sled down is steep enough to glissade.

    • 2

      Bend at the knees.

    • 3

Shift all of your weight back onto your heels.

    • 4

Lift the toes of your snowshoes up and out of the snow. This will get your snowshoe cleats out of the snow as well.

    • 5

Slide down the hill on the tails of your snowshoes.

    • 6

Stop by placing your hands or ski poles behind you in the snow. You can also plant the toes of your snowshoes into the snow, using the cleats to brake.
