How to Get Surfboard Wax Off a Rash Guard Top

Occasionally when wearing a rash guard top while surfing, wax transfers from the board to the rash guard top. Some of the surfboard wax will come off of the rash guard top from basic use, but there always seems to be some left over. For those who cannot stand to have surfboard wax on their rash guard top, there is a simple and effective way to remove it.

Instructions

  1. Removing the Surfboard Wax

    • 1

Put the rash guard with surfboard wax on it on a hanger and then hang the rash guard top outdoors in direct sunlight. The side of the rash guard with surfboard wax on it needs to be facing the sunlight.

    • 2

Allow the rash guard top to hang in the sunlight for 30 minutes or until the surfboard wax is completely melted. Once melted, the surfboard wax will drip off of the rash guard top onto the ground.

    • 3

Use the paper towels to wipe off any remaining surfboard wax while the rash guard top is still in direct sunlight.

    • 4

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for both sides of the rash guard top if necessary.

    • 5

Wash the rash guard top in the washing machine if any wax remains.
