Step-by-Step Directions to Build a Cheap Bunker

A bunker is an object that is generally used for cover when in combat or playing combat simulation games. Bunkers are usually set up strategically in order to keep enemies from advancing too easily onto home territory. Bunkers can also be made from a variety of materials including mounds of dirt, wood, plastic or any materials providing adequate cover. Make a cheap and effective bunker from plywood.

Instructions

    • 1

Decide how big you want the bunker to be. Ideally a bunker should be tall and wide enough to hide at least two people. A 6-foot-by-6-foot bunker generally hides two average sized people well.

    • 2

Cut two sheets of plywood to measure 6-by-6 feet. Remove any sharp edges from cutting with sandpaper to avoid splinters.

    • 3

Stake two 8-foot tall 2-by-4 pieces of lumber 5 feet apart and 2 feet deep in the ground.

    • 4

Nail the plywood to the 2-by-4's on both sides. Spray paint the plywood camouflage if you prefer, or you can drape a camouflage net over the bunker.
