How to Make a Paracord Military Survival Bracelet

Paracord bracelets are another tool to help you survive should you find yourself out in the wilderness with limited supplies. The bracelet is most often utilized because a large quantity of paracord can be braided into a small form factor. Soldiers, private contractors and survivalists have been known to include and wear the bracelet when in the field. Most individuals buy the materials and make the bracelet themselves, making it an inexpensive item to add to their survival kit.

Instructions

    • 1

Take your 10 feet of paracord and burn the ends with a lighter to prevent the cord from fraying.

    • 2

Fold the paracord in half, which will leave a large loop at one end and two unconnected pieces of the cord at the other. Take the "left" cord and create a vertical loop about 15 inches up from the large loop at the one end, then place it under the "right" cord. Form a horizontal loop and place the "left" cord back under both the "right" and "left" cords.

    • 3

Thread the "right" cord through the loop that was just made by the "left" cord. Next, thread the "right" cord under and through the left loop and finally through the left center loop. At this point you should have a large loop at the bottom formed by the original folding of the cords and three small loops at the other end.

    • 4

Take the "right" cord from the top and place it under the "left" cord, which is sitting directly under it. Bend the "right" cord and thread it through the loop that was created by the right cord. At this point you should have the big loop at the bottom and four smaller loops at the opposite end.

Repeat the previous steps till you run out of parachute cord or have made a length that will fit your wrist. Cut and tie off the end when you are ready to attach both sides of the bracelet.
