How to Remove the Grip From a PSE Bow
A comfortable and sturdy grip on your PSE bow that fits well on your hand enhances accuracy and consistency. Eventually grips wear down. Knowing how to safely and effectively replace a grip will lengthen the life of the bow. The first step is removal of the old grip.
Things You'll Need
- Work bench with vise
- Hair dryer

Place the bow in a vise. Secure it snugly, taking care not tighten too much.

Heat the grip with a hair dryer. Apply heat directly to the back of the grip for 10 to 15 minutes.

Push the bottom of the grip away from the riser of the bow, where the grip is attached. When the bottom of the grip starts to move, keep pressure on it while pushing at the top of the grip.

Maintain pressure on the grip from the bottom and top away from the riser until the grip comes off.
