How to Catch a Duck With Bare Hands for Survival
Instructions

-
1
Locate a large dead log. Using a hatchet or survival knife, bore out a section in the log that is large enough for you to fit your upper body in. Drill a hole in the top part of this gap to serve as your air hole.
-
2
Find a body of water that is inhabited by ducks. A pond works best if one is available.
-
3
Put your log in the water, with the gap facing up. If you have a pair of goggles handy, wear them. They will allow you to see underwater better but they are not required.
-
4
Squeeze your upper body into the log and slowly drift toward the ducks. No part of your body should be seen above the water, the only thing visible should be the log. Look under the water to find the ducks feet.
-
5
Grab the duck by it's feet and pull him under water. Immediately break its neck and place it in the bored out section of the log.
-
6
Catch only what you need to survive.
