Getting tickets to most NBA regular season games can be expensive and in short supply. However, NBA preseason games cost less and are an excellent opportunity to see some of the up and coming NBA players get a chance to play. The effort it takes to get these NBA preseason tickets is well worth the effort to see some of the greatest athletes on the planet in person.

      Mark the date of the release of the preseason schedule on your calendar as soon as possible. Preseason tickets are often first come first serve and if you know the date of the schedule release you can be the first in line for tickets. The usual release date for the announcement is in the later part of September in most seasons.

      Visit the individual team website to purchase the NBA preseason tickets. Because ticket agents tend to grab a large number of these tickets you may need to locate them through a local or national ticket broker. See the resources section for more information.

      Call the local ticket agent the day of the preseason schedule announcement. Some teams will hold a certain number of preseason tickets to make them available at the local team box office. You will need to call or visit the arena ticket office of the NBA team in your area to purchase these preseason tickets in person.

      Purchase a season ticket package from the local NBA team. Obviously, this is the most costly way to purchase preseason tickets, but season ticket holders have access to a certain number of preseason tickets, in addition to their regular season tickets.
