How to Get Masters Badges?

The Masters is one of the four men's major golf championships. It is held each April at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. In order to attend professional golf's most prestigious tournament, a spectator needs badges, possibly the most difficult tickets to get in all of sports. Tournament badges, tickets for Thursday through Sunday, have been sold out since 1972. A waiting list began and was closed in 1978. It was reopened in 2000 and is now closed again. It is possible to obtain these elusive badges, however, with a combination of money and luck.

Find someone who is on the patron list and receives Masters badges each year. Often, such people do not use all of their allotted tickets or do not attend each day of the tournament. One of them may be willing to sell his extra badges to you. This will be your least expensive and easiest option for getting tournament badges.

Purchase badges from scalpers at the venue. In Georgia, it is legal to scalp tickets as long as the vendor is more than 1,500 feet from the venue. Be prepared to spend about $2,000 per ticket.
