The Best Places to Park Near Cowboys Stadium

Cowboys Stadium has 15 numbered lots with approximately 12,000 parking spaces. There are also approximately 12,000 spaces in the lettered lots surrounding the nearby Texas Rangers Stadium. Since the stadium holds approximately 100,000 people, finding a spot can be a challenge. You are also able to purchase season parking passes in advance in order to have guaranteed parking in one of the lots for each game.

  1. Premium Parking

    • The best places to park are in the lots near the stadium, such as Lot 10. You will need a prepaid parking pass to get into these lots. Since the spots are at a premium, you can expect to pay between $150 to $200 to park here. Although these spots are the most expensive, you will have a significantly shorter distance to walk than people who choose to park in the cheaper lots. Expect to wait in traffic a little longer after the game is over than people who park in the farther lots.

    Cheaper Parking

    • If you don't want to pay a premium for parking and are OK with a bit of a walk to the stadium, park in Lot 15. These spots typically cost between $85 to $100 each. You also will need a prepaid pass to gain access to this lot. If you are willing to walk a bit farther, there are also cash lots near the Rangers stadium that usually cost about $40 per spot. These spots usually sell out quickly, so it's advisable to get there early if you want one.

    Parking for Tailgaiting

    • There are certain spaces designated for tailgating. These spaces are located on the perimeters of Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15, and have a grassy area right behind each one. These spots are filled on a first come/first serve basis, so get there early if you want one. RVs and any vehicle longer than 19 feet must park in Lot 14. In order to park in this lot you must have an "RV/Oversized Vehicle" parking pass.

    Park and Ride

    • Take the T's Cowboys Coach shuttle to the stadium. The shuttle departs from downtown Fort Worth, at the Vickery Park & Ride (see References). Parking costs $5 and there are approximately 350 first-come-first-serve spaces available in the lot. The shuttle costs $10 per person round-trip.

    Cheaper Spots

    • Visit the Park Whiz website to find cheaper parking spots around the stadium. These spots are owned by local businesses and churches near the stadium. You will have to walk farther than people parking in the stadium lots, but you will save significant amounts of money.
