Food Ideas for Football Parties

Starters

Decorate potato skins to look like footballs or organize pigs in a blanket to look like field goal posts. No matter what finger foods you decide to make, they can almost always be shaped on a tray to look like something football themed. Serve deviled eggs and use food coloring to change the eggs or the yolk mix to be the team colors, if possible. Some pre made turnovers, such as meatball turnovers, already look like little footballs. If you're making these treats from scratch, shape them to look like little footballs (including the lines down the middle) in order to make them fit your football theme.
Main Entrees
-
Most football games serve typical All-American cuisine such as hamburgers and hot-dogs. While these options are easy enough (especially when you have a barbecue) to set up, include other meals that can be cooked and served in bulk. Give the entrees creative football themed names such as Tailgate Chili in order to give them a football flare.
Desserts
-
No party is complete without tasty treats and desserts to end the night. Make Football cupcakes, using green icing for the grass, white decorating icing pens for the yard lines and other tasty treats to build tiny footballs, field goals and helmets on top of the cupcakes. How you want to decorate it is your choice, don't be afraid to really get creative. For other football cupcakes, use team colors and draw helmets or jerseys onto the top of the cupcake. Shape cookies into oval shapes before baking to create "Pass and Punt" Football cookies. Like the cupcakes, use team colors to choose the colors of the icing and sprinkles when decorating.
