How to Decorate for a Stanley Cup Party

1
Go to the arena store of your favorite team and pick up banners and jerseys with the team name and logo imprinted on them. You may hear some derision from folks who do not support your team--but that's half the fun of watching the playoffs and having the party.
-
2
Use a chocolate fountain or a punch fountain to represent the Stanley Cup at your playoffs party. Most fountains look like the coveted award anyway. Put up a small sign to let your guests know this is the cup of champions that overflows for their enjoyment.
-
3
Cut out hockey pucks out of black construction paper, and tie them together in streamers and drape around the room. Then borrow a couple hockey sticks and use them at the entrance for guests to walk under when they arrive.
-
4
Make favors of little skates you can find in a craft store or doll shop. Hang a pair of real skates on a wall.
-
5
Float clean new hockey pucks in the punch. Make ice cubes out of black colored water.
-
6
Save programs from hockey games and lay them around on the tables. Cut out newspaper headlines and make a collage to be used on a big wall near the television set.
