Instructions

Pick the top two seeds in each region to advance at the very least past the first round. Generally, it is a safe bet that each of the top two seeds will win at least two games in tournament. While there have been years where this has not happened, they are rare.

    • 2

Choose teams that are playing well coming into the tournament. Generally, the last ten games is a good barometer of how a team will do in the March madness tourney pool. Now obviously a person has to take into account who these teams have played. If there is a team from a weak conference that has ten games in a row against bad competition, then they may not be a wise pick.

    • 3

Be sure to pick at least one twelve seed to beat a five seed. Every year but two of the tourney, at least one twelve seed has beaten a five seed.

    • 4

Understand that at least one top seeded team has made the final four of the March madness nearly every year since its inception. So be sure to include at least one top seed in the final four when entering a March madness pool.

    • 5

Select teams from major conferences to go far in the tournament. Rarely does a team from a small conference ever make the final four, much less win the tournament.

    • 6

Ascertain where the tournament games are played. Rules do not allow teams to host the games on their home campus, but there are teams that play games close to their home campus. Pick these teams to win these games because home court advantage is very important in college basketball.
