How to Play WWE Royal Rumble in a Pool

WWE's Royal Rumble is an annual event featuring 30 superstars trying to throw each other over the top rope. Even if you do not own a wrestling ring, you can adapt this game to your own swimming pool. The game requires only a few items, and if played properly, it can provide a lot of swimming entertainment. As long as safety is the number-one priority, the Royal Rumble pool game can be played over and over again.

Instructions

    • 1

Get an oversized pool float. This float can be square or circular but should have enough space to hold at least three people. Another good idea is to use an inflatable mattress or a water trampoline in the middle of a lake.

    • 2

Set the float up in the center of the pool. Try to keep the float away from the sides as much as possible. Natural movement will push it toward the sides, but keep moving it back toward the middle during the game.

    • 3

Draw numbers to see which two players will start out on the raft. After each minute, another player gets on the raft.

    • 4

Eliminate your opponents by knocking them completely off the raft and into the water. Once they are eliminated, they cannot return to the raft until a new round has started.

    • 5

Win the rumble by eliminating all of the other opponents and being the last person standing. Any flipping of the raft results in automatic disqualification; the players who were on the raft when it was flipped get to restart.

    • 6

Allow each player three eliminations if there are not a lot of participants. This will make games longer and more exciting for each player. Keep track of who won each round and then award a prize to whoever has the most total wins.

    • 7

Return to the raft if the final two competitors fall off at the same time. This way, there will be one true winner and no disputes over who hit the water first. If two people fall out at the same time when others remain, those two are eliminated no matter what.
