Fitness Pageants in Illinois

For some, fitness is more than a way of living; it is a competitive sport. Fitness competitions and pageants in Illinois include events that are nationally televised. Some events include niche categories, such those for women over a certain age or fitness enthusiasts confined to wheelchairs.

  1. Northern Illinois

    • The ABA Natural Illinois Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championships in Boilingbrook provides contests for bodybuilding, weight lifting, fitness and form. Awards are given to those with the best chest, arms, legs and abs.

      The Grand Prix Natural Figure & Novice competition, held in Rockford, is open to both amateurs and professionals. Examples of categories include women's most symmetrical and best poser.

    Central Illinois

    • The National Gym Association Heart of America Natural Classic in Peoria operates an annual event that is open to professionals, semi-professionals and amateurs. Bodybuilding categories are judged, along with fitness and form, for both men and women.

      The NANBF-sanctioned ProBody Solutions Natural Bodybuilding, Figure & Bikini Championships in Morton allows both bodybuilders and general-fitness competitors to vie for prizes. In addition, a bikini category is judged for women displaying physical fitness.

    Chicago Area

    • Musclemania Midwest in Chicago attracts both professional and amateur competitors from across the nation. The event is televised, and fitness categories are available for both men and women.

      The NPC Illinois Bodybuilding State Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure Bikini & Wheelchair Competition is held in downtown Chicago. National qualifying rounds for pros, along with amateur categories, make this event suitable for those of all fitness levels. Judging is sanctioned through the NPC. Contests are held for bodybuilding and overall fitness, and divisions include those for teens and wheelchair participants.

    Eastern Illinois

    • The NANBF Great Northern Natural and Mr./Ms. Natural Illinois Bodybuilding, Figure & Xtreme Fit Championships in Bradley is an event suitable for both pros and newcomers to the world of fitness pageants. In additional to bodybuilding and fitness categories for both men and women, a figure category is judged.
