How to Protest a Trade in Fantasy Football
Instructions
-
-
1
Confirm that your fantasy football league has a protest rule in place. Many leagues do have protest rules, but some don't.
-
2
Understand the requirements to protest a trade in your fantasy football league. Some leagues allow owners to protest trades that they deem to be one-sided. However, other fantasy football leagues require suspicion of collusion before a trade is allowed to be protested. To prove collusion, you must find evidence that one of the teams in the trade is deliberately engaging in a one-sided trade.
-
3
Contact the commissioner of your fantasy football league via email. Express your concerns and explain why you want to file a protest. This step is typically handled confidentially. If the league commissioner deems your concerns as valid, a leaguewide vote will likely take place.
-
4
Explain to each owner in your fantasy football league why you think the trade should be protested. While the two owners who are involved in the trade may be angered, explain that you have the league’s best interest in mind. Try to keep the peace as much as possible.
-
5
Live with the result of the protest.
