How to Get Autographs at the Steelers Training Camp

Before every NFL football season, the players and staff of the Pittsburgh Steelers partake in what is called training camp. During training camp, players run conditioning drills, get into peak shape and get ready for the season. Spectators can purchase tickets to watch practice. Bring a permanent marker and a picture or football card of your favorite player to have them give you their autograph at the end of practice.

      Purchase tickets to Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. Admission is free for practices at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., where most of the practices are held, but there is a charge to see the annual night practice at nearby Latrobe Memorial Stadium on Chestnut Street. Call Greater Latrobe Senior High School at (724) 539-4225 for ticket information.

      Travel to St. Vincent College or Latrobe Memorial Stadium to view the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp sessions. Steelers practice begins a 2:55 p.m. The parking lot opens at noon and campus at 1:30 p.m. The lot is located on Brouwers Drive, while the handicapped lot is accessible by St. Vincent Drive.

      Watch the Steelers practice session until around 6 p.m. when practice has finished. Wait by the gates of the field or near the locker room for your favorite players to walk by. Have a marker and a photograph or football card on hand and ask your favorite player for an autograph. Autographs can be signed on pretty much any writing surface, like a season schedule, program or ticket.
