1
Log onto the website MyTradingCards.
-
2
Click the “Baseball Cards” link on the left side of the page. This will take you to a gallery with numerous potential designs for your personal baseball card. There are 18 designs per page and 21 pages total of generic baseball cards. You can also choose from several vintage designs, such as Topps 1959. To select, click on the appropriate link, found on the left side of the "Baseball Cards" page.
-
3
Choose the design for your baseball card. Position your mouse over the baseball card of your choice; once the cursor becomes an index finger, click on that card to begin editing it to your preferences.
-
4
You will see a series of boxes to the left of the baseball card. The first box is labeled "Text Line 1." Type in your name, then click on your name as it now appears on the baseball card. Boxes should appear around your name and your cursor should turn into arrows. Once this occurs, drag your name to wherever you want it to be placed on your baseball card.
-
5
Enter a team name or other piece of information in the “Other Info” box, which is found underneath the box where you entered your name. Most people will simply enter the name of a baseball team here, but you can put anything you wish. You can re-position this text as well, the same way you did with your name, until you have achieved the desired placement.
-
6
Add your picture to the card by uploading a photograph you already have stored on your computer. Select the “Upload Your Photo” option above the baseball card. (Note: Your picture cannot be greater than 10 MB in size.) After you have selected a picture, click “Upload” to add it to the MyTradingCards database. Then select the small box you will find to the top left of your photo. Once a check mark appears in the box, select "Set as Image 1," and the picture will now appear on the front of your baseball card. You can also add more pictures if you wish. Follow the steps for uploading a picture, then simply select "Set as Image 2," and so on, until you have added all the pictures you want.
-
7
Select “Step 3 Back Side,” which is found below your baseball card. This will allow you to add information to the back of the card. If you're going for an authentic look, you'll want to add stats such as batting average, home runs and RBI. Add text to the back of your card in the same way you did the front, by writing in the text boxes found at the left of the screen and re-positioning as desired.
-
8
Click “Order Now” to begin the purchasing process. You'll have to create a user ID to do this. To create a user ID, you provide your name and email address and create a password. Once you've done so, you will be taken to the checkout screen. Select “Order Now,” and you will be asked to enter billing information. Once you've filled in all of the required boxes, your baseball card will be on its way.
