How to Decorate a Room With a St. Louis Blues Theme

The St. Louis Blues have not enjoyed much success throughout the history of the team. Nevertheless, Blues fans are dedicated to their team, win or lose. Any true fan of the Blues would love to have a room in his house dedicated to the team. Here is how to decorate a room with a St. Louis Blues theme.

      Paint the room in the colors of the St. Louis Blues. Shades of blue and gold can be found on the uniforms of the team. The shades differ somewhat depending on the jerseys. You should consult either a jersey or the team logo to determine which shade of blue you would like to use for the walls of the room.

      Place a decal of the team logo on one of the walls of the room. The logo used by the Blues is fittingly a different form of a musical note. It is a very unique logo and a decal, flag or banner with the logo on it would complete the walls of your St. Louis Blues room.

      Add an electronic device to the room that plays the song “When the Saints Go Marching In.” This song is played at every Blues home game and is a team tradition. Perhaps you could find a button with the Blues logo on it that plays the song.

      Dedicate a portion of the room to Brett Hull. Although Hull never won a Stanley Cup with the Blues, he is still quite possibly the greatest forward to ever play for the team (not counting Wayne Gretzky but his time with the franchise doesn't really count). Search online for Brett Hull merchandise, such as a replica jersey, bobbleheads and autographed sticks and pucks.

      Place a championship banner in the room commemorating the success enjoyed by the Blues. St. Louis may be without a Stanley Cup but the franchise has won several division championships. Be sure to leave a spot open for when the Blues do win their first Stanley Cup.

      Decorate the room with St. Louis Blues appliances. By going to a local team shop or searching online, you can find St. Louis Blues telephones, lamps and other appliances. You could also even use blue and gold light bulbs in your room. This way, your entire room will be adorned in the team colors.
