How to Create a Bathroom With a Sports Theme

If you're a die hard follower of sports, you want to be surrounded by sports at all times. You probably have jerseys and posters all over your home. Perhaps your bathroom isn't decked out with sports apparel, though. This is an easy problem to fix. Here is how to create a bathroom with a sports theme.

      Paint the room in the colors of your favorite team. It can be difficult to pick just one team from all of the sports to watch. Since it's your bathroom, you could have a sense of humor about things and paint the room in the colors of the least successful sports team that you cheer for during the year.

      Buy bath and beach towels and place them in the bathroom. What's great about these is that you can pick from every team that you cheer for. Towels with the logos of your favorite team can be found at any local department store if it's a local team, a team shop or online.

      Purchase a waterproof radio and place it in your shower. Most sports fans love to listen to sports talk radio. Having a radio in your bathroom, especially in the shower, allows you to stay updated no matter where you are in the house. It's also nice if you want to take a shower while the game is on.

      Place pennants on the walls of your bathroom. Because of the steam generated from taking a shower, placing pictures or posters in your bathroom probably isn't a great idea. Pennants, though, will be unaffected by the environment.

      Run a cable into your bathroom and place a TV somewhere in the room. You should buy a particularly small TV so you could move it around. For example, you could move it to a shelf if you're on the toilet and then move it across from the shower when you are cleaning up. This may sound a bit extreme but it's necessary if you want to ensure that you never miss a second of the action.

      Buy some bath mats that have the logos of some of your favorite teams and place them on the floor of your bathroom. These items can be found at the same places where you can locate your towels. You can't carpet your entire bathroom with team colors but these bath mats can ensure that you have a true sports bathroom from top to bottom.
