1
Draw the bowstring and hold the position while a friend marks your eye level on the string with a pen. Slowly release pressure on the string until it returns to the resting stage. Do not fire the string without an arrow.
-
2
Wedge a string separator in the string to separate it into two strands. Place the peep between the two strands at the marking. Adjust the level until it is even with the mark and the two notches are aligned with each of the strands. Remove the separator to pinch the peep between the string.
-
3
Cut a 2-foot piece of nylon serving thread. Loop the thread around the string above the peep. Slide the thread until it sits on the point where the two strands of bowstring reconnect.
-
4
Tie a single overhand knot with the thread. Make a half wrap and tie a second overhand knot on the opposite side of the string. Continue tying alternating knots between the original knot and the peep. Make 10 to 15 total knots and tie a double overhand knot to complete the sequence.
-
5
Cut the extra thread flush to the final knot and add a small drop of instant glue to the knot without touching the bowstring.
-
6
Tie in a second section of serving thread on the opposite side of the peep to complete the installation.
