1
Use the measuring tape to locate the center of the drawing cable.
-
2
Insert the cable separator into the center of the drawing cable. Separate the fibers so that there are an equal number of fibers on both sides. Hold the separation point open.
-
3
Grasp the peep sight in your hand and locate the two notches on the exterior edge of the peep. Hold your index finger over one notch and your thumb over the second notch.
-
4
Slide the peep into the separation point and rotate it until the fibers are located over the two notches. Gently remove your thumb and index finger, allowing the fibers to settle into the uncovered notches.
-
5
Reposition the fibers so they are fully seated in the notches.
-
6
Wrap the middle of a piece of serving thread around the peep sight. The thread should fit snugly into the center grove. Tie a knot in the string to hold the peep securely. Dot a small amount of fletching superglue on the serving thread knot. Allow the glue to dry and trim off the excess thread.
-
7
Identify the point above the peep sight where the fibers start to separate. Wrap the center of a piece of serving thread around this point and tie a knot in the thread to secure the thread into place.
-
8
Wrap each free end of the thread around the cable on the peep side. Tie another knot on the opposite side of the first knot. Continue wrapping and knotting the ends of the thread until a quarter inch of knots has been made. Dot a small amount of fletching superglue on the serving thread knots. Allow the glue to dry and trim off the excess thread.
-
9
Repeat Step 7 and Step 8 on the opposite side of the peep sight.
