1
Use a bow scale to determine the current draw weight on the Hoyt compound bow. This number determines the required increase or decrease in draw weight.
-
2
Loosen the pocket-locking screws located on both sides of the limb pocket. These special pocket-locking screws are not used on every model. Consult your owner's manual for model-specific information regarding the pocket-locking screws.
-
3
Turn the weight-adjustment bolt on the top limb-pocket clockwise; this increases the draw weight. Count the number of full and partial revolutions.
-
4
Turn the weight-adjustment bolt on the top limb-pocket counterclockwise to decrease the draw weight. Count the number of full and partial revolutions.
-
5
Turn the bottom weight-adjustment bolt the same number of turns as the top. This ensures both limbs have the same amount of resistance.
-
6
Retighten the pocket-locking screws if necessary.
-
7
Test the draw weight on the bow scale to determine the final draw-weight measurement.
