1
Improve accuracy at home by throwing into a painted strike zone on a concrete block wall or into a circular rack meant to hold a garden hose. Watch videos of professional pitchers, try different grips on the baseball, and perfect your footwork. These are a few ways you can improve your control. The more repetition you do, the more accuracy you gain.

2
Use weight training to gain strength and velocity in and out of season. Simply practicing pitching and pitching in games will not keep you in optimal shape. With more arm strength, more velocity will follow. It is also critical that pitchers remain flexible. Seemingly simple rotator-cuff exercises with 5-pound dumbbells can drastically improve strength, velocity and overall pitching-related fitness.

Picture where you want the ball to go. It may seem odd, but visualizing the ball landing where you want it to can improve your focus, mentality and accuracy. When pitches aren't ending up where they are intended, it is easy to become frustrated. Baseball is a game of imminent small failures. Maintaining a clear conscience and a level head on the pitcher's mound are sure to improve a pitcher's value to his team as well as his control.
