How to Measure the Right Chest Protector Size

A chest protector is a piece of gear that baseball catchers wear to protect their ribs, sternum and the delicate organs located behind these bones. As the target of a pitcher's throw, which can reach speeds of more than 90 miles per hour, a properly fitted chest protector is essential for maximum protection. To ensure that your chest protector fits properly, measure yourself prior to visiting the sporting goods store.
