How to Design Your Baseball Uniforms

1
Choose a color scheme. For teams opting for alternate home and road uniforms, the accepted rule is that light jerseys are worn for home games and darker ones are reserved for road contests. Pants normally come in white and gray, and should be chosen based on what complements the jerseys.

2
Choose the logo and lettering. Logo ideas can come from just about anywhere, and most custom jersey stores and websites, such as Custom Ink, offer a selection of logos for perusal. For a more traditional look, a team might opt to have the team or city name on the jersey fronts rather than a logo. In the majors, most teams choose the nickname on the front of their home jersey and the city name for the front of their road shirts. A team must also choose the lettering for player names. Stores and websites carry their own lettering templates, making selection a snap.

3
Place the order. Web stores will give discounts for uniforms bought in bulk and can provide every service required to take plain jerseys and turn them into custom-made uniforms. Whoever submits the order will need to ensure that he provides the proper sizes, so everything will fit properly when it arrives. Processing can take several weeks, depending on the amount of work that needs to be done. Teams must be sure to leave themselves plenty of time prior to the start of the season for the order to be processed.
