How to Install Outdoor Basketball Tiles

Installing a basketball court in your backyard or driveway is a great way for you to exercise and practice your game without ever having to leave home. There are a few different ways to have a basketball court installed at your house, including paving an area with cement and painting the court onto the cement, or you can choose the new method of having outdoor basketball court tiles installed. These tiles are made to endure all kinds of weather and can even be driven on, so they can be installed in driveways. They come in pieces, like a puzzle, that fit together fairly easily and the court can be assembled in a short amount of time.

Instructions

    • 1

Separate all of the basketball court tiles into two categories: tiles that contain court markings, such as lines for the baseline, three-point line and key, and tiles that do not contain any markings.

    • 2

Begin with the baseline tiles, that will be installed underneath the basketball hoop, and install those first, working your way up the court from one end to the other.

    • 3

Snap each piece together, following the template of the design of your court. Each court tile should easily snap into place like puzzle pieces.

    • 4

Use your template to line up the court markings, making sure that the three-point line, free-throw line and key markings are all lined up correctly with one another.
