How to Customize Nike Basketball Shoes

Since 1972, Nike has been finding innovative ways to make basketball shoes stand out in a competitive market. The company positioned itself as an industry leader with the creation of the air sole in 1983, and has now introduced an online program allowing you to customize Nike basketball shoes. NIKEiD. puts the power to design and build unique basketball shoes in the hands of the players. The option to choose color, material, fit and finish enables you to sculpt the shoe according to personalized style preference. Alternatively, you can do the customization on your own and save money.

Customize your Nike basketball shoes. Click the "Start blank" text to the left of the shoe to begin with a blank basketball shoe palate. Scroll the mouse over the different sections to choose different characteristics. When finished, click the "Size" button on the right-hand vertical navigation bar, and choose the shoe size and the quantity you'd like to order.

Personalize your Nike basketball shoes with paint markers. These specialized pens are waterproof and fade-resistant on leather, and available for purchase at most specialty art stores. Buy your favorite Nike basketball shoe and draw the design and detail of your choice. White shoes work best because they don't obscure the paint colors.
