Baltimore Panthers

The Baltimore Panthers sponsor two teams in the area. They have an under-age-12 team and an under-age-13 team. Both of these teams are affiliated with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). The organization was founded in 1997 and is designed to give youth from the Police Athletic League and the Boys & Girls Club a structured, safe and fun environment to play in. The teams have traveled to different states to compete in tournaments. To be eligible to participate, each team member must have at least a "B" average in the classroom.
Loyola University

Loyola University fields teams in men's and women's basketball. These teams participate at the NCAA Division I level and are members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Both the men's and women's teams have players from not only the state of Maryland but from other countries throughout the world. Home games are held at the Reitz Arena, a 2,100-seat venue in the Baltimore area.

Baltimore Stars

The Baltimore Stars are a basketball program that fields 10 teams in the area. Players from ages 8-17 are eligible to compete on one of the teams. All of the Baltimore Stars teams are affiliated with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). The teams travel all over the country to compete in tournaments, including the AAU National Tournament. According to the Baltimore Stars website, the goal of the teams is to help young players achieve higher learning opportunities at colleges and universities by raising their level of consciousness about excelling academically while building character and providing positive social and cultural experiences.
