Canadian Basketball Scholarships

If you are a young, talented Canadian with a passion for basketball, you may have wondered about scholarship opportunities. Fortunately, member universities of Canada's national governing body of sport, the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS,) offer scholarships for eligible student-athletes. Awards have a value of up to $3,750 per academic year.
  1. Pierre and Sylvia Crevolin and Friends Golden Bears Basketball Award

    • This scholarship is given annually to a member of the University of Alberta Golden Bears basketball team. To be eligible, a student-athlete must demonstrate both academic excellence and exceptional ability on the court.

    Jimmie Condon Athletic Scholarships

    • This scholarship is available to student-athletes at Alberta universities, including the University of Calgary. Applicants must be full-time students and a member of a designated sports team. The value of the award is $1,800 per year.

    Dr. Bob Mirwald Huskie Men's Basketball Scholarship Fund

    • Members of the University of Saskatchewan's men's basketball team are eligible to apply for this scholarship. First-year entering students must have a minimal entering average of 80% or equivalent, and students in all following years must maintain a 65% average.
