Calgary Bantam Football Association Post-Secondary Education Scholarship

Calgary Bantam Football Association (CBFA) offers scholarships to students who are currently enrolled at a junior or university level college. Five awards in total are given, in the amount of $1,000 each. The terms of this scholarship require that applicants must have been a member of a CBFA team for at least one season prior to applying. There is also an interview conducted by the CBFA Board of Directors in conjunction with a written application. The written application is composed of 19 questions that ask about your football past, future football plans, and post-collegiate employment goals.

Mike Pettingale Memorial Scholarship

The Westside Football Club was established in 1978 and includes 18 recreational and competitive teams in the men's and women's Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL). In support of students' scholastic needs, the Westside Football League has a scholarship trust that has the Mike Pettingale Memorial Scholarship available to one student annually. The award amount is $500, and the awards are derived from donations and fundraisers dedicated to this fund. Eligible students will attend any recognized Canadian post-secondary educational facility, in addition to fulfilling five other criteria, like a minimum "B" average in high school, and the student's current participation in soccer.
