From Brad…
52 Pick-Up – basketball dribbling drill

Bring enough tennis balls and basketballs for everyone.  Every player stands on one end of the gym with a tennis ball in one hand and dribbles with the other.
On the whistle, throw the tennis ball to the other end of the gym, keep dribbling.
On the next whistle, dribble to the other end, pick up a ball (while still dribbling) and return.  (teaches ball control and movement)

Up the ante for older players by continuing to run the drill but each time the coach removes one of the tennis balls.  That way the players need to be fast and aggressive to get down, pick up a tennis ball, and get back.

Keep removing tennis balls one by one until one player is champion.
