Cheapest Bike Trailers

Bike trailers come in a variety of shapes, sizes and prices. Some of the trailers are basic and simply allow for an adult on a bike to pull a child. Others can double as strollers or be used on a cross-country ski trip. Most of the bike trailers currently on the market will hold two children, although there are some that are made just for one. There are several affordable options when looking for a bike trailer.

    • InStep offers four different trailers that are all under $200, and are the four least expensive models on the market as of time of publication. The Take 2, Quick N EZ, Sierra and TrailBlazer can each accommodate two children and come with weather screens and bug shields. The Quick N EZ, Sierra and TrailBlazer all come with kits that can convert the trailer to a stroller. All of the trailers, except the TrailBlazer, come with 16 inch tires. The TrailBlazer comes with 20 inch tires.

    Schwinn

    • Schwinn has been building bicycles and other cycling accessories for over 100 years. Schwinn makes a bike trailer that comes in as one of the least expensive for sale as of time of publication. The Schwinn TrailBlazer retails for $214.99 on Bike Trailers.com and has seating for two children. The trailer also comes with a stroller conversion kit and 20 inch tires.

    Burley

    • The Burley company makes five different bike trailers, most of which retail for more than $500. But, Burley does make a more economical model, the Bee. The Bee retails for $249 as of time of publication. The Bee can hold two children up to 100 lbs. and comes with a weather and insect cover and a rear hatch that opens to access the back of the trailer for storage. The Burley Bee has 20 inch wheels.

    Croozer

    • The Croozer company manufactures several different types of bicycle trailers to pull kids, pets, cargo or a mixture of all three. The Croozer trailers that are designed for children tend to cost more than $450, but the company does make one option, the Croozer 525, that comes in at $375 at time of publication. The Croozer 525 holds two children, comes with a back cargo area and can be converted into a stroller.
