Information on the Iron Horse Warrior LE Mountain Bike
-
Suspension
-
Iron Horse manufactured bikes under the "Warrior" series for a decade, but the LE is different from the other "Warrior" cycles. The LE is a full-suspension cycle, meaning it has shock absorbers on the front fork and on the rear of the frame. Some other models of the Warrior are also full-suspension (the Warrior DS), but some are hard-tail (or front-only suspension).
Specifications
-
The Iron Horse Warrior LE is a 27-speed bicycle, with a SRAM X-9 nine-speed rear derailleur and a Shimano LX front derailleur. The drive train is controlled by SRAM X-7 trigger shifters, which allow you to click up through gears with your thumbs and down using your index fingers. It has front and rear mechanical disc brakes with Hayes brake levers. The built-in suspension on the frame is made by Fox and has 3 inches of travel; the front fork generally has 6 inches of travel. Its standard tires and seat are made by WTB and the bike features Candy pedals in the stock setup.
Appearance
-
The easiest way to determine the model of an Iron Horse Warrior is by the color of the frame and forks. The LE features a frame with a silver tubing and red rear suspension. The front fork is also red. The rear shock and crank wheel are black. The frame has an additional tube connecting the seat stem to the drop tube, a feature distinguishing Iron Horse full-suspension frames from those of other manufacturers.
Reviews
-
Reviews of the Warrior LE are unanimously positive. The bike scores a perfect five out of five on the Buzzillions review page, as of January 2011. Riders comment that the bike is well made and excellent for all-around riding (not just free riding or downhill). The only downside regularly listed is that the bike is heavy for its size.
