Cateye Installation

Cateye makes a series of lights for bicycles. Rear lights use red covers to provide a safety light for nighttime bicycle commuting. Cateye headlights mount to the handlebars of the bicycle and provide a bright light for nighttime riding navigation. These lights are designed to mount quickly with a minimum of tools and fuss. Install Cateye lights for safety and added navigational aids.

Instructions

  1. Headlights

    • 1

Loosen the mounting bracket screw under the headlight. Open the bracket so the C-clamp fits over the handlebar.

    • 2

Place the light via the open C-clamp under the handlebar near the stem. Keep the light pointing forward. Hand tighten the bracket screw to set the headlight onto the handlebar.

    • 3

Position the light at your desired angle and tighten the screw fully with the Allen wrench.

    Rear Lights

    • 4

Unscrew the mounting bracket screw so the C-clamp opens fully on the Cateye light.

    • 5

Wrap the C-clamp of the light around the seat stem so the light is facing the back of the bicycle.

    • 6

Tighten the screw with the Phillips screwdriver.

    Backpack Lights

    • 7

Set your backpack down on the ground and find a strap on the outer panel of the pack.

    • 8

Pinch the clip on the backpack light to open the clamp.

    • 9

Slide the clamp under the strap and release the clip to secure the backpack light to the backpack. Put the backpack on with the light facing the rear of the bicycle.
