How to Light a Pennant

Sports pennants are collectibles because they not only have a vintage look, but many are made in limited quantities, making them valuable collector items. Displaying your pennant by hanging it on a wall or keeping it in a display case is one way to enjoy it, but adding a bit of dramatic lighting will make it stand out even more for visitors to your home.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase two mini spot lights at any home improvement store. It is important that the lights be adjustable to allow you to aim them in the proper direction. If the location of your lights will not be near a wall socket, you may wish to use battery-powered mini LED spotlights instead.

    • 2

Plug the two spot lights into a wall socket, and position them on a shelf or other surface below and in front of the pennant.

    • 3

Adjust the left spot light, aiming it just left of the center of the pennant.

    • 4

Adjust the right spot light, aiming it just right of the center of the pennant. The two lights should be overlapping in the center to provide the brightest light in the very center of the pennant.

    • 5

Use two-sided tape to keep your lights in place once you have found the best spot. (optional)
