How to Make an Ice Bowling Lane
Ice bowling is an outdoor sport modeled after traditional 10-pin bowling. In it, the ball is thrown down a frozen lane toward pins positioned at the other end. Creating your own ice bowling lane in your backyard can be a fun way to spend a day with your family and friends, allowing everyone the chance to cut loose in a relaxed family game.

1
Use the snow shovel to flatten out a patch of snow in your yard or on your driveway. The lane width and length is entirely up to you, but a good width is around five feet and a fair length is around 15 to 20 feet.
-
2
Push the snow removed towards either side of the lane to create bumpers, preventing the ball from getting away on bad throws.
-
3
Lightly spray the area with a hose, sprinkling it with enough water to wet the lane's surface without completely drenching it.
-
4
Let the lane freeze overnight. In the morning you will have an ice bowling lane ready to go.
