How to Throw a Resurgence Bowling Ball Right Handed

Resurgence is a well-known brand of bowling balls used by both amateur and professional bowlers. These bowling balls are meant to help a bowler add more arc to his throws and cause more "action" in the pins. If you've never thrown a curve with a Resurgence bowling ball or any other ball, you may be unsure about throwing your bowling ball.

      Start by holding your Resurgence bowling ball correctly. Place your fingers in the holes so that they are snug, yet relaxed. You will then want to cradle the Resurgence bowling ball in your right palm and the bottom of your wrist. Keep the ball like this as you begin and end your backswing.

      Begin turning your hand to the left as you start your upswing. Remember you want your throwing hand to be in the "handshake position" as you complete your throw.

      Let the Resurgence bowling ball come off your thumb first. Your other fingers should remain in the holes as the ball easily slips right off your thumb. This should occur at roughly the midway point of your upswing.

      Use your fingers and palm to add spin to the ball. Turn the ball counterclockwise so that it will hook right into the pocket.

      Release the ball when you're ready. Remember the earlier you release the ball, the more spin you will put on the ball. When you release your Resurgence bowling ball will be determined by how much spin you want to put on it and how hard you throw the bowling ball.
