These models often use knobs that are twisted to tighten or loosen them. Besides knowing how to adjust the platform, you should also know where to place the bag relative to your height so that you get the most benefits out of it.

      Find the area you want to place your platform. Use a tape measure to determine if the ceiling is high enough for your platform model. Keep in mind that you will need a certain amount of space to move around. You should also be leery of low-lying wires or light bulbs. It is also advisable to find the studs in the wall for increased support.

      Place the wall mount against the wall. Use a pencil or pen to mark each screw hole. Be sure to find the studs if they are available.

      Screw the wall mounts into the wall. Most models will not have the platform attached, but if it is and you are mounting this alone, you should undo the platform to make it easier.

      Reattach or attach the platform once the wall mount has been screwed in.

      Attach the speed bag and check to see that it is the proper height. The belly of the bag should be at around eye level.
