1
Find an exterior wall with a stud. This is the portion of your wall that’s strong enough to support your speed bag mount and the impact of hitting the speed bag. Studs are wood panels that run perpendicular to your floor. Run your stud finder along the wall until it alerts you that a stud has been located. Pound on the spot to make sure you hear wood echoing back with a strong “thud” noise.

2
Stand next to the wall and mark the height of your chin on the wall with a pen. This is where the bottom of your speed bag should hang. Your frame and mount are built around this point.
-
3
Build a frame for the mount that came with your speed bag using wood runners. This frame ensures minimal damage to your wall. Position your first runner parallel to a wall stud and drill it into place. Position the opposite runner on the next stud over and drill it into place. Overlap the top and bottom runners to your frame with the vertical runners. The frame is stronger if the runners overlap.

4
Attach your wall mount to the frame. The specific wall mount and hardware for your Everlast speed bag comes with the bag. Position the wall mount brackets onto your frame runners. Use the wall anchors, hex head lag bolts and washers that came with your bag. Insert and tighten these hardware pieces into the appropriate holes in your mount. See the instructions that came with your heavy bag for a diagram.

Attach your speed bag to the wall mount. Line up the holes of the speed bag with the holes on the mount. Slide the lock in place and secure it with the U-pin. Hit your speed bag gently, then firmly, to check for stability.
