1
Start small. A good boxing trainer can charge an hourly rate for his services. Put the money aside for rent on a private location once you build a client list.
-
2
Teach basic fitness and technique for your first few lessons. Sparring, mental technique and cardiovascular skills do not cost any money to teach, as you do not need equipment. One of the most important things you can do as an instructor is pass on knowledge and safety tips to a budding fighter.
-
3
Buy more boxing equipment a little at a time as you begin to earn money from your clients. Your boxers will enjoy helping the gym grow as they improve their skills with new equipment.
-
4
Ask schools and youth clubs where they buy their sports equipment. Many sports manufacturing companies sponsor gyms or individual coaches. See if you can get equipment for free or at a low cost.
-
5
Advertise locally. People will not attend the gym if they do not know it exists. Word of mouth is always useful, so ask your students to talk up your classes. Provide your venue or gym address when advertising along with a phone number in case interested people want to stop by to see a class in action.
