How to Work Out Your Percentage on a Cricket Ladder
Ranking of cricket teams are often presented in a "ladder," which is an ordered list of rank based on a performance percentage. These performance percentages offer a statistic of the number of points scored for the team versus the number of points scored against the them by a competing team. Percentages greater than 100 percent signify the team scored more points than they had points scored against them. Percentages less than 100 percent signify the opposite.

1
Tally the total number of points a team has scored.
-
2
Add the total number points any other other team has scored against the team for which you wish to calculate the percentage.
-
3
Divide the number of points scored for the team by the number of points scored against the team, and then multiply that quotient by 100. As an example, if your teams scored 2,500 points in a season, but had 1,800 total points scored against you by competing teams, your percentage would be 138.89 percent.
