1
Place a strip of ¾-inch skate tape along the front edge of the toe. Position the tape along the sole, being careful to not cover it. Take the ½-inch tape, overlap the end over the ¾-inch toe piece and align it parallel to the bottom of the boot. Hold the role in one hand and slowly unroll it as your other hand smooths down the tape. It will cover up part of the sole near the heel but that can be removed later. Cut the tape at the heel and finish smoothing. Continue on the other side.

2
Take the 1 ½-inch tape and carefully start the next row above the first strip at the toe. Overlap the tape a few millimeters for full coverage. Gently unroll the tape and smooth as you go along. Repeat on the other side.

3
Apply 1 ½-inch white tape starting at the back of the boot. Unroll the tape to the front of the boot past the lace holes and cut with scissors. Do this on both sides until you reach the top of the boot. Trim off excess tape with a utility knife, but be very careful to not puncture the leather.

4
Place strips of ¾-inch tape across the top of the toe above the very first strip to cover all the ends of the 1 ½-inch strips. Apply this tape until you reach the lace area. Cut off excess tape with the utility knife.

5
Apply 1 ½-inch tape horizontally across the tongue, trimming as you go along.
