1
Find the number of successful passes the player had. If making the calculation for professional sports, then these statistics are available online. If making the calculation for non-professional sports, you may need to track the statistic by watching the games and keeping tally for yourself. For example, assume a quarterback completed 20 passes in a game.
-
2
Find the total number of passes the player attempted. In the example, assume the player threw 30 passes in the game.
-
3
Divide the total number of successful passes by the number attempted to find your passing accuracy. In the example, 20 divided by 30 equals 0.6666. If you multiply this result by 100, you convert the result to a percent. So, 0.6666 times 100 equals 66.66 percent.
