1
Gather information from your school guidance counselor. The college football application will have an area regarding academic history. You will need to include your class rank, your current grade point average as well as your college board scores if you have taken them. The information on a college football application is not official. The information should be accurate and complete so the coaches at the college will be able to fully evaluate you.

2
Fill out the application. Use an ink pen and write in print, not cursive. The application will have an area for your personal information, your athletic information as well as your academic information. The personal information will include your phone number, email address, home address as well as what your parents' names are. The athletic information will include your height and weight, your position and your statistics from the most recent season. The academic information will be the name and address of your school as well as your class rank, grade point average and college board scores.

3
Attach a personal letter and game film. The application will ask if you have any game film from a recent game. Attach it in DVD form while making sure to indicate what color your team is as well as what your number is. Attach a letter to the application thanking the coaching staff for their time. Most players will not do this, so it is a way to make a very good first impression.
