.335-Inch Tip Shafts

TaylorMade features more than 20 custom shaft options for those with a tip size of 0.335 inches. Manufacturers such as Fujikura, Aldila, Matrix, Royal Precision and Mitsubishi provide a selection of shafts with regular, stiff and extra-stiff levels of flex. Fujikura's Motore F3 FW 80 shafts are the heaviest of the group at 80 g, while the Mitsubishi Ahina 60 shaft with regular flex is the lightest in the group; it weighs just 53 g. The shafts on offer provide an assortment of low, medium and high levels of ball trajectory, while levels of torque range from 1.9 to 4.1.
.350-Inch Tip Shafts

There are five different options for shafts with a tip size of .350 inches. The Fujikura Blur 60 and 70 series have four different levels of flex--extra stiff, stiff, regular and senior. The Blur 60 line of shafts weigh between 56 g and 60 g and have a mid to high trajectory, while the Blur 70 shafts weigh between 66 g and 72 g and have a medium trajectory. The Matrix X-Con 4.8 and 5.8 lines feature shafts with five different flex ratings, while the X-Con 5.0 line offers a shaft with regular flex. The X-Con 4.8 shafts range from 44 g to 46 g, while all the X-Con 5.8 products weigh 51 g. The X-Con 5.0 shaft weighs 56 g. Each of the shafts produced by Matrix offers a mid to high ball trajectory.
.355-Inch Tip Shafts

Aldila, Matrix, Fujikura, KBS, True Temper, Royal Precision and Nippon produce .355-inch tip shafts that can be paired with TaylorMade clubs. The shafts are divided into three categories of flex--extra stiff, stiff and regular. The weights of the shafts range considerably, with the 60g stiff-flex Fujijura TP90 comfortably the lightest product on offer. The KBS Tour, Royal Precision Project X and Project X Flighted and True Temper Dynamic Gold top the weight chart, with each shaft weighing 130 g. Torque levels vary between 1 and 3.5, and the shafts provide a mixture of low, medium and high ball trajectory.
.370-Inch Tip Shafts

There are also numerous custom-fit options for shafts with a .370-inch tip. The shafts incorporate five different flex ratings--extra stiff, stiff, regular, senior and ladies. The TaylorMade Burner Superfast shaft weighs 50 g and is the lightest of the group, while the KBS Tour, Royal Precision Project X and True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts are the heaviest available, with each weighing 130 g. Torque levels range between 1.2 and 3.6 and the level of trajectory produced by the shafts varies from product to product, ranging from low to high.
