The SkyCaddie SG3 manufactured by SkyGolf is a rangefinder specifically made for golfers that displays instant distances to fairway hazards, carries and green targets. The unit conforms to the United States Golf Association (USGA) and The Royal and Ancient Golf Club's (R&A) rulings on electronic measuring devices. The SG3 can also be used to establish a handicap per the USGA Handicap Manual, Decision 5-1 f/2. IntelliGreen displays major tiers, contours, false fronts and mounds that may affect the golfer's approach to the green. SkyCaddie QuickVue provides a virtual preview of the safest paths from the tee to the green to include green shape, distance, shape of hole and remaining distance. IntelliGreen provides an eagle's view of every green regardless of location on the course.

The majority of these accessories are for portability and protection to include a carry case, travel case, leather case, mounting options and unit covers. All cases are built to prevent wear and tear on the SkyCaddie SG3. Some of the cases are built large enough to accommodate all of the functional components to include a charger, USB cable and manuals. Accessories can be purchased directly from the manufacturer.     • The SkyGolf SkyCaddie SG3 requires specific software to function according to the manufacturer's specifications. Consumers must have a PC which operates on Microsoft Windows 2000/XP or newer system with a minimum of 256 megabytes of random access memory and 4 megabytes of available hard disk space. Internet access and Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher is required. Connection of the unit requires an available USB port and software. A CD-ROM drive with 2X speed can be used for software installation.
